Spam
Messages or advertisements that show up in your email inbox, even though you didn't ask for them and don't know who they're from.
POP3 (Post Office Protocol version 3)
An email protocol based on the provider (client/server). POP3 allows email to be received, stored and later forwarded to the user's email address at his/her request.
Whitelist (Contact List)
A list of all your friends or contacts that you want to keep in contact with or save their email address.
Client
This is the provider or server company that supplies you with your email address. Usually the client's name is the site that your address is located at.
i.e. youremail@client.com
Quarantined
The spam emails that are blocked by your filters. Sometimes they are kept in the quarantined' folder.
